Spyderco Shaman

The Shaman is a robust, no-nonsense folding knife inspired by the renowned design of the iconic Spyderco Native. Measuring approximately 20 percent larger than the Native, it retains the same refined ergonomics while introducing several notable enhancements.

Available with either a PlainEdge or fully serrated SpyderEdge, the Shaman’s blade is constructed from CPM S30V stainless steel. It features a high flat grind that strikes an ideal balance between strength, low-friction edge geometry, and a sharp, utilitarian point. The knife's signature Trademark Round Hole™ is easily accessible from both sides, allowing for quick, one-handed opening with either hand. For tactical situations where light discipline is crucial, this version of the Shaman is equipped with a non-reflective black Diamond Like Carbon (DLC) blade coating.

While the Shaman’s handle shape and ergonomics are inspired by the Native, its construction and locking mechanism are distinctly different. The scales are 3-D machined from G-10 and thoughtfully contoured to ensure a comfortable, secure grip. Skeletonized stainless steel liners, nestled within the smooth, matte-finished scales, enhance the handle’s structural integrity and form the foundation of the knife’s Compression Lock® mechanism. To facilitate convenient carry and ensure the knife is readily accessible, the handle features a four-position pocket clip that accommodates left or right-side, tip-up or tip-down carry. Like the blade, the clip and all handle hardware are finished with a non-reflective matte black coating.
